The GMC Yukon may get a significant update for 2027. Car and Driver discovered in company documents that the new model will offer four engine options, similar to its Chevrolet siblings. The main surprise is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, familiar from the Escalade-V.
This engine can produce up to 682 hp and may appear in the Ultimate Denali and AT4 trims. Improved handling is expected for city-focused versions, while the AT4 off-road variants should gain enhanced off-road capabilities.
Although GMC stated that there was an error in the engine data, interest in this version remains high. If the engine does arrive, the Yukon will become a powerful alternative to the Escalade-V, but with a more restrained style and likely a lower price.
